from Milan to New York // German Design Council presents the successful exhibition at ICFF
The German Design Council is holding a panel discussion in New York at 11 a.m. on 16 May. Under the chairmanship of Andrej Kupetz, the participants, who include Wilhelm Seibel, President of mono and POTT – brands of Seibel Designpartner GmbH, Peter Wouda, Volkswagen Design Center Potsdam, Pierre Nicolas Grohe, Hansgrohe Inc. and young designers Laura Strasser, Sebastian Herkner and Reinhard Dienes Diaz will discuss the subject of 'Design in Germany – the present and future'.

The German Design Council will present the ‘Design Deutschland 2010’ exhibition at the FuoriSalone in Milan (14 to 19 April 2010) and at the ICCF, International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York (15 to 18 May 2010). Alongside new product ideas from established German companies and designers, there will, for the first time, be 22 prototypes on show by young German designers, such as Mark Braun, Reinhard Dienes, Steffen Kehrle, Elisa Strozyk, Judith Seng, Uli Budde and Kai Linke.

Panel discussion
in an exposed dock and riverbank venue between the A 661 Offenbach-Kaiserlei motorway and the Main riverbank in Offenbach the historical coal crane at the Evo power Station will be set in a new scene.
The LED based illuminations emphasise the construction, retrace it or blur it in the nocturnal context. These illuminations in cooperation with Peter Eckart and Sebastian Herkner will be opened for luminale and then continue to shine at night.

Tonic is assembled without screws or the use of tools. Tonic can be used in two different positions; horizontal as a Sideboard, or vertical as a Bookcase. To achieve this change the legs are simply taken out of the sockets and replaced in the desired position.
